This phone makes a terrific second phone. I have the ringer turned off and it flashes when it receives a call and also has a low level flash when it has a new Caller ID. It works great in a place where you don't want to be disturbed by noise. The only drawback is the dial isn't lighted but other than that it works perfect.
This was purchased for emergencies for when the power fails. It has a decent ring but the spiral phone cord is a bit short.
This was a gift for a friend and he says he likes it. No more getting unwanted calls because he can see the numbers right on the handset.
